West Coast coach Adam Simpson has conceded the club are looking at the surface at their training ground as they search for answers to their injury toll. The Eagles have been hit hard by injuries in the past two years, struggling to field a fully fit squad at times as they managed just five wins and 40 losses.
Adam Simpson speaks exclusively to Channel 7. This year started better on the injury front, but after only two games the list is growing significantly. Co-captain Oscar Allen will be sidelined for two months after suffering a knee injury in Round 1, while ruck Matt Flynn will likely miss the first half of the season with a knee injury as well. Senior players Liam Ryan and Dom Sheed are also still sidelined, as well as youngsters Rhett Bazzo and Elijah Hewett .
