Wells Fargo & Co. WFC, +0.66% said late Thursday Chief Executive Officer and President Timothy J. Sloan has informed the company's board he is retiring on June 30 and stepping down from his roles immediately. The board has elected C. Allen Parker, Wells Fargo's general counsel, as interim president and CEO, effective immediately. An external search will begin for a permanent executive, the company said.
