Pam Corke, a Y Service Club Women member, said the idea to host an artisan market came from a crafters' event they held last June.

“We needed a place that is better located, and so we thought, well, we are the Y Service Club; let's approach our partners, the YMCA, and they were more than helpful. So, we have moved the location, and we've upscaled the sale,” she added.and local food banks. The event has a $2 admission fee, but people are welcome to donate more to help the cause.

Goodwin also encouraged everyone to stop by the market and take in some of the local fine art on display, such as local weavers, distillers and painters.
