Lucy Linford started Desert Island Dumplings out of her rental flat in South Liverpool

Lucy started making her veggie and vegan dumplings at home first, and would deliver them on her bike after selling them through Instagram. As they became more popular, she applied for a £100 loan from the Prince's Trust and with that bought a deep fat drier, gazebo and a hot plate. She said: "It was about bringing something new to the table, quite literally. From carrying fryers onto trains to our now permanent spot atop Afflecks, every step has been worth it."
