'We are not in the business of handing out blank cheques': DA takes on controversial BELA Bill

The National Treasury has revealed there are no plans to allocate funds for the Basic Education Law Amendment Bill.

Should the bill pass into law, each of the country's nine provinces will have to find an additional R2 billion per annum to fund its implementation.
