OTTAWA — For “hours and hours on end” Monday, the House of Commons will echo with the dulcet strains of the voice of Pierre Poilievre. The Conservative MP will deliver a “marathon speech” in a filibuster bid to force the Liberals to call more witnesses to testify on the SNC-Lavalin affair.
He started his speech around noon on Monday. Poilievre’s filibuster will take up the regular Commons debate time, but it will still break for question period and will stay within regular sitting hours, meaning it won’t go through the night. A Conservative source said Poilievre’s speech may last nearly all week, as there are four days scheduled for budget debate.
The committee members have been given the additional evidence, consisting of text messages sent and received by Butts. It is expected to be released publicly sometime Tuesday, after the evidence is translated into French.
People who suffer from insomnia should not miss this.
Pierre stop it, you are going to make it difficult to vote Conservative. You are like the US Democrats the more they open their mouth the more sure that Trump gets re-elected.
Pierre would find this action offensive and anti-democratic if his party was in government.
CPC_HQ I’d rather see you focusing on the budget like a true politician, than wasting time trying to score cheap election points. The CPC has absolutely no election game, platform or plan. And no leader.
Why is this fool still getting elected?
poilievre likes to yell and pontificate - I remember him telling us why he needed to restrict access to voting
I’d like to see him try.
It won't make any difference but someone has to hold their feet to the fire given that liberal_party members have shown they care more about protecting Trudeau than they do the integrity they pretend to stand for
