'Why should he have to give up half of his company?'

The Apprentice viewers accused Lord Sugar of turning the reality hit into Dragons' Den after the show's interviews week. The penultimate episode of the series saw the final five candidates interrogated by some of the business tycoon's closest advisers in their bid to win a £250,000 investment for their business plans.

He clarified: "It's a 50% in the second practice, not the existing first one because I do believe that has grown to its full potential." Paul told him: "If I'm being honest Lord Sugar, I wouldn't be able to do that" - leading to Lord Sugar deciding to fire him, saying: "I wish you well but unfortunately because you're not prepared to share the whole business with me, I'm afraid to say that with great regret, you're fired."

@RocketRonz said: "What's with the Dragon's Den nonsense in #TheApprentice. It's 250k to start a NEW business venture" while @JodiePortugal wrote: "Good for Paul why should he have to give up, half of his company it's not Dragon's Den."
