A Western Australian dad is fighting for his life in hospital after suffering critical injuries in an e-scooter crash while on the way home to celebrate his birthday. The 37-year-old is now under constant supervision in the Intensive Care Unit at Royal Perth Hospital.

Perth father critically injured in e-scooter accident. He was almost home when he collided with a car at the intersection of Dawson Ave and Solandra Wy in Forrestfield about 7pm on Thursday. The impact was so severe, neighbours say he was thrown 10m and the scooter was smashed to pieces. “He’s a very kind person a big heart,” neighbour George Tilbury said. “The worst thing that I think about is he’s got two daughters and he’s the sole parent.
