Broadcaster Ray Hadley, a close friend of businessman John Singleton, says he was forced to break the tragic news to his friend that his daughter had died in a mass stabbing attack at Bondi Junction. Dawn Singleton, 25, and five others were killed during the stabbing rampage at the busy shopping centre on Saturday afternoon.

Dawn’s father, multi-millionaire businessman John Singleton, was told of the tragedy by close friend Hadley after he contacted him on Saturday night, to confirm if his daughter was among those injured. “I rang him, and he said, ‘I think my Dawnie is one of those who lost their lives and I can’t confirm it. Can you do something?’” Hadley said on 3AW radio.
