As part of our Spotlight on the Barras series, Glasgow Live tried out working as a trader for a day, with the very welcoming Kaitlyn Debiasse putting us through our paces at the hugely popular Cow People.

The Barras is once again fast becoming the place to go at the weekend, and though we've spent plenty of time being shoppers perusing the unbelievable amount of things you can find, we've always wondered what it must be like to be one of the famous traders.

Looking over the incredible range of boots and clothing, we decided on a black shirt, with a horse bolo, Elvis-adorned collar tips, a belt, buckle, a US Flag pin and, of course, the ever-reliable cowboy boots. After pulling a few poses for a pic, we got straight to work with the guys taking us through what they do every day, from the layout of the shop to the sizes and pricing of each and every item.It was class to see just how many people are into this.

She explained that Glasgow is a "Cowboy City" and is really proud of her network in the city who help her out, bring her findings and give her lots of support every weekend. During our shift, so many people would come up and actually chatted away with us, which was something we really enjoyed and think in today's retail world becoming more and more an alien concept .
