Lisa Robertson, manager of Jags Bar, a Scottish pub on the island, has shared the impact of Brexit rule changes on her business and island life in general.

British holidaymakers are abandoning their winter trips to the Canary Islands due to European Union rules and rising flight costs.

"I know at least four people who have sold their houses over here because they can't come out as much as they used to be able to," Lisa, who has resided in Tenerife for nearly 14 years, told the Express. "I knew a lot of people who would come for months at a time and be here every night. I haven't seen them . There are lots of people like that. It's quite hard," she lamented.
