CaitlinPacific Maybe tougher immigration enforcement? Less regulations boosts employment too

So, is that why they closed in the black community's? To bump up starting pay?

canuck2usa Labor market is super tight right now. People jumping ship left and right. Based on 06 min wage of 7.25, present wages should be between $10-11 after inflation. At $13-14 hourly employees are inflated 12-14% above market. As soon as bull market ends, lots of layoffs

Justsiigh let’s gooo👀

HarborFreight needs to start seriously doing this to get better employees. $9.50 an hour isn’t cutting it anymore. I know you have heard the saying “you get what you pay for.” Well I know many stores are struggling to get and retain good staff. Help out!

Tight labor market increases wages in the short term. Long term after employment market is less tight they start to reduce those higher paid employees for lower paying ones.

CaitlinPacific Still👏not👏high👏enough. Scones and croissants still cost $7 at the airport and you can’t tell me any human’s worth is less than two pastry per hour.

CaitlinPacific Wait. It's almost as if they need to pay more to appeal to better applicants!

Awesome! Now I can pay even more for the stuff I need because selfish people demand to make more than they're worth! AND let's let in all the immigrants too! YAY!

Target was my high school job— $6 an hour. Granted, that was 20 years ago, but America has an inflation problem on top of a wage problem. I live in China now, and $6 an hour would be enough to live rather well in most places. It’s a two-fold issue.

So demand went up... Leading up...

Still shit wages.

canuck2usa that makes sense. pay more and svae on turnover and get better employees. win!

Remember these are part time jobs. The raise is nice but the workers need a eight hour job. Work on that.

Kudos!

Goooooooooooooooooood!👏👏👏

I can't vote democrat. Some people may not like Trump or whatever. But we need to stop electing democrats because it's just going to get worse. Companies should not allow to be controlled by our government. No socialism

Bye bye jobs hello Boston dynamic robots

WWWVillainess Maybe $15 would be better

Key words “tight labor market.” It’s almost like capitalism is working or something. SocialismSucks

Count me in

And more Target are closing.

Yes! Let companies decide their own minimum wage! Don't force a national standard. This is how it should be.

As they add more self serve checkouts. TargetLessWorkers
