French IT firm Atos confirmed on Monday that it had received a non-binding letter of intent from the French government to buy some of its business divisions.

Struggling IT firm Atos said on Monday that it had received a letter of intent from the French government including an offer to potentially take over some of its business.

Financially struggling Atos on Monday also said it would require substantially more cash than previously anticipated to fund its business through 2024 and 2025.on Monday said that it had received an offer from the French government to potentially take over some of its business. Due diligence is set to begin shortly with a view that a non-binding offer could be made in early June, according to the IT firm."There are within Atos sovereign activities that must remain under the exclusive control of France," he said, according to a CNBC translation.
