Truck driver Adam Wood is described by his wife, Naomi, as “irreplaceable”, the type of father who was fully present with his children whenever he could be. But after his tragic workplace death in 2011, his wife and children have only their memories of him left to treasure.

Grieving families plead for change for shift workers. “He was the most amazing father ... he was the guy who jumped on the trampoline,” Naomi Wood said. “He was once in a lifetime, he wasn’t one in a million. There’s nobody else like him. He was, anybody will tell you, large as life.
