Gauteng residents have been given an alternative option for ride-sharing apps after the new e-hailing service, Shesha, became available this week.
The service, which means"hurry up" in isiZulu, already has 1 500 users. It went live Wednesday with taxi organisations, the South African National Taxi Council and the National Taxi Alliance , as shareholders in the company. Both taxi organisations form part of the province's Gauteng Taxi Industry Trust , which represents the entire taxi industry in the province and has a 60% stake in the e-hailing service, while the Gauteng E-hailing Services Trust owns 10%South Africans need to be in the know if we want to create a prosperous future.
