Ndomaegba heads to tribunal over loss of Senate seat

The previous decision to apologise and withdraw the petition was taken at its Ordinary General Meeting on February 27, 2019 on the basis that the petition was baseless and vindictive. However, at an emergency general meeting on April 2, 2019 at UNTH, Ituku-Ozalla Enugu, the Congress resolved to forge ahead, according to a statement by ARD’s president, Dr. Akponye Solomon, and General Secretary, Dr. Okam Izuchukwu.Izuchukwu affirmed that the petition, which has not been officially withdrawn from anti-graft agencies, would be given accelerated attention to satisfy the wish of the congress because it has merit.

The emergency congress based its decision on the reason that the majority of its members were either taken unawares or were not present at first statutory OGM on February 27, 2019 where the previous step was taken.
