Former Collingwood coach Nathan Buckley has taken aim at one of his former players in a surprising drive-by attack when discussing North Melbourne’s woes. Buckley was critical of the lack of support given to youngster Jackson Archer after he gave away a 50-metre penalty during the loss to St Kilda.
Buckley’s drive-by on Stephenson. Archer, the son of North Melbourne great Glenn, dropped the ball on the ground, instead of giving it back to Rohan Marshall after the big Saint took a mark. The 21-year-old, who was playing just his ninth career game, then came to the bench and was clearly frustrated with his error. Buckley delivered a stern critique of the Roos’ failure to support Archer, but finished his lengthy assessment with a shot on Jaidyn Stephenson.
