Mr. Mohammed Manga, Director of Information and Public Relations of the Ministry of Finance, said Mr. Edun was at the headquarters of the Pension Transitional Arrangement Directorate in Abuja, this afternoon, to assess the level of work on the automation of the Directorate.
According to him, attention needed to “focus on the vital back-end computation projects aimed at improving the efficiency and transparency of pension entitlements.”He reiterated President Bola Tinubu’s unwavering commitment to pensioners’ welfare even amid essential economic reforms, while assuring of the Ministry of Finance’s support for the recent pension increment, aligning with the provisions of section 173:3 of the 1999 constitution.
His visit, he said, “Underscores the Ministry’s strategy to enhance fiscal management and promote socioeconomic stability through improved governance of public funds and the adoption of digitisation.
