Experts say tourism is maintaining its role as big business in Lancaster County.According to data just released by Discover Lancaster, 10 million people visited the area in 2023.They poured more than $2.5 billion into the economy.Those numbers are up from the previous year.'We had some great stuff last year – Sight & Sound with their refreshed production of 'Moses,' the 60th anniversary of Dutch Wonderland and lots of other new things that were going on.
The year is off to a strong start.'There's lots of good stuff to keep bringing people back. We often find folks might come in here and say, 'I've got three or four hours,' and they realize when they leave here, they need three or four days,' Cliff said.One of the big draws this year is the reopening of the Hershey Farm Resort, which is being rebuilt after a fire in January 2023.
