A former principal has called for metal detectors to be installed in Australian schools, after a teacher was slashed with a knife at Chifley College Dunheved in North St Marys this week. The western Sydney school was sent into lockdown when a teenage girl was found with a kitchen knife about 1.20pm on Thursday.
