Triple premiership great Mal Michael has done what very few people can do — silence Front Bar funny man Mick Molloy on air. Michael played in the powerhouse Brisbane Lions team of the early 2000s that won three consecutive grand finals between 2001-03 and were unlucky not to claim a fourth flag in 2004.

Mal Michael’s Richmond dig silences Front Bar’s Mick Molloy. They were a feared and ferocious outfit, blessed with a mix of the incredibly talented and some of the most uncompromising players the game has ever seen. Michael was a key defender in ruthless back six. There were hard men everywhere and the defence was made up of Chris Johnson , Chris Scott , Justin Leppitsch , Marcus Ashcroft , and Darryl White. Michael said he was surrounded by superstars.
