The news and stories that matter, delivered weekday mornings.WASHINGTON — Companies with profits over $100 million would face new corporate taxes under a proposal released Thursday by Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass.

The 2020 presidential hopeful said her"real corporate profits tax" is aimed at companies that report large annual gains but pay little in taxes thanks to a variety of tax credits and deductions that are available to lower their overall bill. An analysis by the Institute for Taxation of Economic Policy, a left-leaning think tank, that was released on Thursday found that the number of publicly held corporations that pay no federal taxesto 60, thanks in part to the $1.9 trillion tax cut President Donald Trump signed into law.

"Everybody profits from being part of this country and everybody ought to make a contribution," Warren said Thursday in an MSNBC interview."Little sized businesses do it, medium sized businesses do it, families do it, we want the big corporations to do it, too."

Sadly the psychological face of the United States is still that lone adolescent, male energy=impulsive, reckless attitude that helped colonize this country in its early years. That male ego, so afraid of mama, would elect a black man, a con man, or a gay male rather than a woman

Elizabeth Warren ticks all the boxes for President of the United States: courageous, intrepid, brilliant, strong, decisive, hardworking, aware, kind, compassionate capitalist, effective, focused, warrior, wise, aware, determined, mature, adult.

hardball

So you want to increase taxes on the companies that create jobs. You tax them to death they will close up shop. Then those who lost their jobs will change careers. The new career will be collecting welfare. The narrative keep fat keep them poor keep them stupid. =‘scores

hardball Since the number of large companies paying zero in taxes this year doubled from 30 to 60, I'm not upset about this.

Taxes taxes taxes protect illegals and yes, more taxes.

And she doesn't realize that if the tax goes too high, they will just leave the country. It isn't like they don't have the money to relocate so, I hope she took that into consideration. I doubt it, seen a lot of rich people move away from taxes that went to high, but we will see.

Next one in power will reverse tax cuts and everything else the Donald has screwed up

Will she be selling her vacation home? PoocahontsOnTheWarPath

Good. Support.

I hope the rate is around 90%

This is exactly what is needed to counter the tax sham that Republicans foisted on us to enrich the 1%.

Elizabeth Warren ( 5.7 percent ) sell, like Biden. I think much of her positioning has to do with name recognition right now. Her problem is there's nothing she does that someone else doesn't do better

Capitalism is supposed to work for ALL AMERICANS, not just the top wage earners. It’s time for the middle class to reap the benefits of capitalism like the greedy spoiled baby boomers.

Amazon employs thousands of people. Who has SHE ever employed? How many jobs has SHE ever created? None.

bye bye companies....

How about Congressmen who make over $10 million? That would hit the ones that preach against the corporate structure, yet sold their souls to it. Kind of like a political evangelist.

Great run them outta the country like Clinton did!!!! HEY MEXICO BRAZIL HERE COME OUR COMPANIES!!!!!!🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

somebody gotta pay for that tax cut

Punishing successful companies and their shareholders/employees What a nut job.

Goodbye jobs. Goodbye increased wages. See you investments that my 401k is in.

The snakes are eating their own.. Sit back and enjoy the show ... Remember always vote Republican and sit back and watch the snow flakes melt..
