The Giants stormed out to a 3-0 first-period lead then cruised to the series-clinching victory

The Giants beat the Victoria Royals 6-1 Thursday here at the Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre to sweep their best-of-seven Western Conference semifinal, and now await the winner between the Silvertips and the Spokane Chiefs for their next opponent.

“You can’t pick your teams .
