Ryde tower delay 'costing Harry Triguboff's company $50,000 a day' | MeganGorrey

, was rejected by the City of Ryde last year, but could still proceed if approved by the NSW government.

Mr Bennett said the development had been delayed as "a consequence of the Premier's decision to commission what is called an 'assurance [review]' from the Greater Sydney Commission." Mr Bennett said the company would argue that the ban should not apply to existing planning proposals, and particularly those as far advanced as the Macquarie Park tower.

Meriton is seeking a declaration that the Greater Sydney Commission does not have the power to advise or provide recommendations for plans submitted before the review was ordered last October, documents previously tendered in court said.
