CSO latest earnings data show average weekly earnings rose by 4.7 per cent to €969.12 in the 12 months to the first quarter

Average weekly earnings in the Irish economy rose by 4.7 per cent to €969.12 in the 12 months to the first quarter of this year, according to the Central Statistics Office . This was up from €925.44 in the first quarter of last year.

The latest findings suggest that wage growth here remains relatively strong as workers seek compensation for the fall-off in real earnings during the recent inflationary surge.
