Since taking over in 2018, Handren helped the San Antonio-based movie theater company expand to have the eighth most number of screens in the country.

SAN ANTONIO — After nearly six years with the company, Santikos has confirmed that CEO Tim Handren is retiring. When Handren took over in 2018, there were big plans for expansion and growth, which was ultimately halted due to a pandemic and writers strike. After getting past those obstacles, in 2023, Santikos was able to finally get an agreement signed toNo word yet on his replacement but more details are on the way.
