Nathan Cleary’s mother Rebecca partnered the three-time NRL premiership player at the Matildas’ clash — featuring Cleary’s partner Mary Fowler — with China on Monday. The Matildas beat China 2-0 in their final pre-Olympics friendly match at Sydney’s Accor Stadium as Fowler gears up to lead Australia’s front half for the tournament in the absence of injured superstar striker, Sam Kerr.

Rebecca and Nathan Cleary were spotted waving to Fowler from the stands after the game, as she picked them out in the crowd from on the ground. Footage of the moment was posted on social media, with over 100,000 people viewing it. “We love a supportive king,” the video was captioned.
