The Ministry of Finance has announced that as of today, it has approved more than 30000 applications for the BUDI MADANI RM200 cash aid initiative for diesel vehicle owners. MOF added that the recipients, including farmers and small-scale commodity growers, will receive first cash assistance amounting to RM200 each which will be disbursed on 10 June through their bank accounts.
As reported by Bernama, those without a bank account can claim the subsidy in cash by bringing MyKad to any Bank Simpanan Nasional branch throughout Peninsular Malaysia. MOF further announced that eligible applicants can still register to receive BUDI MADANI, with applications submitted in June eligible to receive payment for both June and the following month.
However, applications submitted after June 2024 will only qualify to receive payments starting in July 2024 and will not include June payment. In case you’re not familiar, BUDI MADANI is the government's effort to ensure subsidy allocations are targeted to eligible groups including individual assistance , farmers and small-scale growers as well as companies and transport vehicles .
It is estimated that a total of 300000 individual diesel vehicle owners in Peninsular Malaysia are eligible to receive Individual BUDI. Meanwhile, a total of 68000 farmers, 8000 livestock breeders and 34000 small-scale aquaculture operators are qualified to receive benefits from BUDI Agri-Komoditi.
