A shooting at the Houston Farmers Market left an employee dead after he attempted to stop two young men from stealing a golf cart in the early hours of June 6. The Houston Police Department and Houston Fire Department responded to reports of gunfire at approximately 4:15 a.m.
The victim, who was responsible for checking in drivers, confronted the suspects, leading to a brief struggle. One of the suspects then shot him multiple times, with witnesses reporting hearing at least four shots around 4:19 a.m. Preliminary investigations have revealed at least two shell casings in the vicinity. Upon arrival at 2520 Airline Drive, officers discovered the victim in the employee parking area of the market. He died at the scene.
