Among the awards, the Financial Post team clinched gold for its Innovation Nation series and won an outstanding achievement award

TORONTO — The Financial Post team won four trophies and an outstanding achievement award on Wednesday at an awards ceremony organized by the Canadian chapter of the Society for Advancing Business Editing and Writing.

“This recognition highlights just some of the outstanding journalism that the FP produces on a daily basis,” Julie Traves, acting Editor-in-chief of the National Post, said. “Whether it’s a smart enterprise story, an in-depth project or sharp commentary on the topics that matter, the FP consistently delivers business news that is interesting, timely and engaging.”

“She is one of those rare journalists who earned the respect of both her peers and the energy industry due to her thorough, balanced reporting and deep understanding of the issues that matter to Albertans,” MacAdam wrote in Cattaneo’s nomination letter. “But it wasn’t just her ability to break news that made her a must-read; it was her ability to bring context and analysis to these stories. Her columns suffered no fools and offered a clear-eyed view that often punctured the Ottawa bubble.
