Indigenous musician Emma Donovan will lodge a complaint with the taxi regulator after she says she was refused service by two cab drivers at Perth Airport.Perth Airport and the Department of Transport say they would offer support to Ms Donovan if she wished to make a complaint.
"Even just talking and repeating about this whole incident, it's just brought me to tears. I was ignored." She went up to the first cab but before she could reach the door handle, she said the driver asked where she was going and said he could not take her."I said to the next cab, 'are you right to go to Vic Park?' No. Again, just immediate, no. And then I said, 'Oh, why? What's the problem here?' And he didn't want to talk to me or answer me," she said."By that time, I was so upset, and I realised why he didn't want to take me," she said.
For her, the rejection at the taxi rank adds to the pain she felt when the Voice Referendum was defeated.
