A murder investigation is underway after the body of a man was found dumped at an abandoned quarry in the Glass House Mountains, north of Brisbane. Queensland Police said the 25-year-old Morayfield man was originally reported missing on June 4 after he was last seen at a Morayfield address on May 28. His body was found with stab wounds at the abandoned quarry near Mt Ngungun on Tuesday.

“It will be alleged the two men lured the 25-year-old man to a Glass House Mountains property where they stabbed him,” police said. A 22-year-old man and a 19-year-old man were both charged with one count each of murder and misconduct with a corpse. They are both due to appear in the Caboolture Magistrates Court on Wednesday. A third man was also taken into custody but has been released without charge. Police said they believed all three men were known to each other.
