Concerns about long delays by construction company Nicheliving have reached the Western Australian Parliament as desperate customers describe facing homelessness and living in campervans while they wait for builds to be complete.

WA's Minister for Commerce has told parliament she's trying to get answers from Nicheliving over delays.Opposition leader Shane Love has called on the government to intervene amid widespread pressures in the home-building industry.

"I don't know what to do anymore. Every door gets shut in our faces and no-one's there to help us," she said. "These people can't see a way forward at the moment with the way that they're being treated by the government, the regulators, and the company," Mr Love said. The situation comes amid a widespread crisis in the WA building industry, with several firms going into liquidation in recent years.

"The government contributed to this by bringing in the stimulus package in the first place into a market that didn't need that particular stimulus.
