Brendan Fevola has kicked six goals in a one-off footy return for Northern Football Netball League club Heidelberg West. The AFL goalkicking legend turned out for the Hawks against the Fitzroy Stars in the NFNL’s division three on Saturday and proved he’s still got it. The 43-year-old kicked six goals in the Hawks’ 46-point loss to the Stars. Heidelberg West had only one other multiple goalkicker as Fevola wound back the clock in a dominant performance.
“Six goals from Fev had the crowd up and about with a number of goals in the last quarter bringing applauses from home spectators, irrespective of the result heading the Stars way. “Although we couldn’t bring home a win it was a day where the club continued to show how we can really make an impact in the local community hosting such a great event.” Fevola’s connection to the Hawks was through its major sponsor’s owner, having played masters footy with General Chicken Co boss Nuri Sadiku.
