Sydney winger Junior Pauga is facing a ban from the NRL judiciary for a jarring high hit on Canterbury’s Connor Tracey. Pauga came forward to tackle Tracey down the right side with eight minutes left in the second half on Saturday night but quickly realised he was about to get stepped.

Junior Pauga sent off for high hit on Connor Tracey. Adamant he would make his presence felt regardless, Pauga threw his arm out and flattened Tracey with a clothesline hit that left the Bulldogs flyer concussed. Tracey was lucky to be able to walk off the field in the hands of Bulldogs medical staff without the help of the medi-cab, but has now entered the NRL’s concussion stand-down policy and will miss next week’s game.
