KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia recorded foreign direct investment (FDI) net inflows of RM40.4 billion in 2023 from RM75.4 billion the previous year, says the Department of Statistics Malaysia (DoSM).

IPOH:The Orang Asli of Kampung Kenang, Jalong Tinggi in Sungai Siput are suffering from sleepless nights as they worry that the tanah adat that they have been cultivating for generations now has “new owners”.

“However, since last year, unknown people have been coming to our plantation saying that they wish to purchase the land, with the most recent visit made last month. “For so many years, efforts have been made to apply for the land title, but we haven't received any positive news. This is frustrating as we do not have a piece of land to call our own,” he told reporters after presenting a memorandum to the Mentri Besar’s office here Wednesday .

He claimed some people had approached them stating that they would be offered RM350,000 for the land, which they refused.
