President Bola Tinubu has extended his condolences to traders whose shops and goods were destroyed in the Karu, Abuja market fire on

Thursday.

Tinubu said, “President Tinubu extends his heartfelt sympathies to all the traders affected by this distressing incident, and assures them of his administration’s full support.” The acting Director-General of the department, Mrs Florence Wenegieme, made this known in a statement in Abuja on Friday. She said: “There are Fire Stations at two locations in Karu; we have the Karu Fire Station, and a Fire Station and firefighting truck in the new Karu Market under construction.
