A notable member of the Nassau County community is accused of failing to complete home renovations, despite getting paid hundreds of thousands of dollars.
“He said that he was well vested in the community, everything looked legit,” said Ahmed-Parkin. “He said he’s licensed and insured so I hired him.” Ahmed-Parkin said Boyd would give her excuses about the delay in construction, yet she said he also kept demanding more money to pay for materials and workers.
Team 12 Investigates also found that Boyd does not have a valid contractor license with the Department of Consumer Affairs in Nassau and Suffolk counties. Ahmed-Parkin claims his insurance policy is also invalid.
