Prittican Yakubu, one of the promising actresses in Nollywood at the moment, has also had her share of ‘awful’ experiences which she can’t forget in a hurry as long as she’s in the industry.
She said, “when I started my acting career, I was not consistent because I didn’t want to be harassed sexually. I was not ready to pay any price for a movie role. But one day, I asked myself, how long would I keep running away from these producers? From that day, I made up my mind to return to the industry”.
She narrated a sad incident, where she was almost raped alongside her two friends, by her producer friend in Owerri. Narrating her ordeal, Prittican said, “the producer woke me up around 3 am to demand sex. I told him I can’t do it even as I was observing my monthly menstruation. He then asked me to wake one of my friends so that he could sleep with her. But I refused to do so.
