A 22-year-old man has been stabbed at Sydney University on Tuesday morning. The incident occurred about 8.45am at Western Ave and Science Rd at the university’s Camperdown campus, and paramedics have treated the man for a single stab wound. He was transported to the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in a serious but stable condition, NSW Police said. Soon after the incident, NSW Police were told another male had boarded a bus on the nearby Parramatta Rd.

” A police investigation is ongoing, but there is no ongoing risk to the community. Sydney University said there would be an increased security presence at the campus. “A NSW Police operation is underway on our Camperdown campus. As a precautionary measure, there may be an increased security and police presence on campus while investigations continue,” Sydney University said in a statement.
