A Townsville woman killed in a triple-fatal Greyhound bus crash in Queensland’s north is being remembered for her presence and her smile. The much-loved grandmother was on the bus with her daughter and grandkids when the heavy vehicle, carrying 33 people, collided with a caravan travelling in the opposite direction at Gumlu, near Bowen.

Family of grandmother killed in bus crash speaks out. The impact forced the bus off the road, and it came to a stop on adjacent train tracks. The 56-year-old Townsville woman, along with two German nationals in their 20s and 30s, died at the scene. Two men, aged 23 and 24, are in critical condition, while two other men, aged 27 and 51, remain in hospital in a stable condition. 7NEWS has declined to name the Townsville woman at the request of her family for cultural reasons.
