Lawyers expect more claims to be brought against water companies by private groups incensed by the sewage scandal

Water firm United Utilities has lost a bid for immunity against a private claim brought by the owner of Manchester Ship Canal, pictured above The latter pursued a private claim against the water firm for untreated sewage spills into the waterway, however United Utilities had won a bid for immunity against the claim.
