Out-of-favour Brisbane midfielder Deven Robertson is “one to watch” in this year’s trade period, according to 7NEWS chief AFL reporter Mitch Cleary. Robertson, who was born in Western Australia, knocked back offers from West Coast last season to sign a two-year deal at the Lions until the end of 2025.

Why Robertson is one to watch this trade period. However, after playing 16 games last year, including the grand final, the 23-year-old has only managed just two senior games this season. He has spent the past six weeks in the VFL and has fallen down the pecking order despite the Lions dealing with a lengthy injury list. Brisbane are also set to land father-son gun Levi Ashcroft and Academy star Sam Marshall in this year’s draft.
