An Aussie mum is working with doctors to find out why her young daughter, whose brain is covered in tumours, has been “unconscious and completely unresponsive” for more than 40 hours. Allanah Alison’s daughter Daisy lives with the condition tuberous sclerosis complex, a rare genetic disease that causes non-cancerous tumours to grow in the brain and areas of the body.
“We are overwhelmed with gratitude at the amount of beautiful messages we have received and the large number of people wanting to help our little family.” The day they found out Daisy’s brain was riddled with tumours was the same date as the death of their daughter Lily, who died four years ago. “Daisy’s little brain is covered in tumours with one nasty one on the frontal cortex,” Allanah posted to Instagram on June 22.
