The Federal Member for Grey, Rowan Ramsey, said improving the dog fence was a multi-generational investment for the state."This is a 100 year old structure that obviously it needs replacing." "So while we can't sign off on the deal this side of the election, I think it would take a very brave Government indeed to take money away from farmers."The fence has been one of South Australian agriculture's biggest issues, with more than 19,000 sheep estimated to have been killed by wild dogs in the state last year.
