They are demanding that their area should be reincorporated into Makhado from the Collins Chabane Local Municipality. IEC Chief Provincial Officer Nkaro Mateta says 628 people have applied for special votes in the Vuwani area under the Collins Chabane Local Municipality.Meanwhile, National Police Commissioner General Khehla Sitole is expected to visit Vuwani this morning.Several public order police officers from around the province and Gauteng have been deployed in the area.

Police fired teargas on Sunday to disperse a group of residents who were gathered at a local stadium to discuss their participation in the upcoming general elections.
