Malema News

Business Business Latest News,Business Business Headlines

Initially, the EFF had asked that Shivambu be given the position of the Finance Minister.

Economic Freedom Fighters leader Julius Malema has rubbished claims that he has asked President Cyril Ramaphosa to be the country’s deputy president.

Reports say some EFF leaders were promised positions, but Malema went behind their backs and that of the party’s chief negotiator in the national unity talks, Floyd Shivambu, to ask Ramaphosa to be his deputy.“Today they say to you they were offered positions in the negotiations and when they came to tell me I denied those positions and I went behind their backs to speak to Cyril for me to become the deputy president.

“I want to tell you here and now, I have never asked for any position of deputy president from Ramaphosa and I will never do that because I don’t have anything to do with what Ramaphosa has to do,” adds Malema.
