The president was addressing the media in Beijing, on the margins of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation summit.

In his speech entitled “Joining Hands to Advance Modernization and Build a Community with a Shared Future,” Xi at first extended a warm welcome to the foreign guests attending the summit on behalf of the Chinese government and people. Over the past 24 years, especially in the new era, China has advanced forward hand in hand with its African brothers and sisters in the spirit of sincerity, real results, amity and good faith, said the Chinese president.
