Hundreds of animal-rights activists and fur-industry supporters squared off at a New York City Council hearing over a bill that would ban nearly all sales of fur in the city

Hundreds of animal-rights activists and fur-industry supporters squared off Wednesday at an hourslong New York City Council hearing on a bill that would ban nearly all sales of fur in the city.

The measure would outlaw the sale of new furs, but allow for exemptions for religious clothing made from fur, and on used or repurposed fur. It wouldn’t prohibit wearing fur or fur-trimmed products in the city.

They can do ALL that but remain silent while innocent people are executed on our public streets by 'so called' law enforcement! I like furs...

Will they ban wearing fur next

Well, when do we start banning bacon and hamburgers?

FurIsDead . FurFreeNYC

I guess some of these protesters of animal pelts are running around in leather seated high end cars and leather boots🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🇺🇸🤮🤮😩🇺🇸😩😩😩😩😩😩😩😩😩😄😄

Probably will get the hypocritical hollywood crowd out of NY faster than they claim to leave Georgia.

Zombies wear fur. End of story.

So what about leather goods? How are hides different from furs? No more belts, wallets or leather coats. Must turn off brain. Must follow.

I don't wear fur but I support every individual's right to choose for him or herself. I would never support a ban, even though I don't like fur.

Fur should be banned! It's unnecessary. WTF this isn't Siberia.
