If you were a young couple at the Baltic Market last night, I need to apologise to you immediately. The two stood in front of me at the Jacaranda’s events space housed in Cains Brewery.
The intimate acoustic set was part of the Jacaranda’s week-long album launch performances with Pixie Lott and Blossoms still to come. The show was made up of six songs - split evenly between the new folk-pop hits just out and the classic numbers the 34-year-old guitarist is loved for. Stepping out on stage in his signature hat, James kicked off the show with Up All Night before giving the Liverpool audience what they really wanted - Let it Go, Hold Back the River and Wild Love. The three, understandably, went down a treat with each being greeted with a louder roar of cheering and applause than the one before.
